We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects located in Ames, Des Moines, IA , and surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided when traveling.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience . Individuals with relevant knowledge and hands-on technical schooling will also be considered.
Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks and cabinets, Cat6 and coax cable, faceplates , and will test and label cabling . Additional duties include assisting with the setup of DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes in individual rooms, as well as helping build out server closets for network installations .
Work will take place both indoors and outdoors in school and apartment building environments . Occasional tasks may include digging trenches and performing directional drilling . Technicians will receive daily direction from project leads.
