As an associate engineer, you’ll have opportunities to lead design tasks that should harness your ability to delegate and work with engineers and other design practitioners who are both more junior and more senior than you. These opportunities will give excellent opportunities to grow as you mentor more junior practitioners and learn from more senior practitioners. You’ll develop and maintain strong client relationships to organically drive business through proposals, networking, and sole source opportunities.

Bring your engineering background, creativity, and desire to address many of today’s most prevalent waste, remediation, and sustainability issues, and we’ll empower you to deliver the boldest solutions for our clients.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Experience conducting field investigations and other onsite work and preparing corresponding reports.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
  • Experience with report writing (engineering design reports, stormwater reports and/or specs).

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering or a related engineering degree.
  • Professional design related experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, or your respective state, or possess the ability to gain licensure.
  • Experience with site civil design and 3-D modeling, including roadways, grading, drainage/stormwater, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with diverse, remote teams.
  • Experience with transfer stations, composting, waste collection and processing, sustainable waste management practices, and waste-to-energy technologies.
  • Project management experience, including proposal and business development experience.
  • Experience with project and account management tools and applications, such as pricing tools, project tracking tools, and customer account relationship tools.
