Construction Safety Manager (part-time) - $35-$38/hr - Nappanee, IN (Onsite)

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee and strengthen safety programs across active commercial construction sites. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing risk exposure, and maintaining a strong safety culture.
This is a part-time, onsite position in Nappanee, Indiana.
Position Responsibilities
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards across multiple construction sites
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Maintain OSHA logs, certifications, incident reports, and safety documentation
• Investigate EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries; implement corrective actions
• Manage workers’ compensation cases and safety-related documentation
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for new hires and monthly meetings
• Improve safety management systems and best practices
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction safety management or EHS-related field
OR Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field
• OSHA 30 certification (required)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations in commercial construction
• Experience conducting safety audits and managing compliance documentation
• Experience with incident investigation and workers’ compensation case management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and present safety training materials
Work Environment
• Fully onsite at construction sites in Nappanee, Indiana
• Combination of field inspections and documentation work
Compensation
$35.00–$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20–40 per week
