• Master’s Degree in Special Education or Administration preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education in the K-12 setting
• Supervisory experience
• State of Michigan Administrator Certificate or ability to qualify for permit

Performance Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and supervision in the management of special education services including preschool programs speech services, learning disabilities programs, programs for students with autism and programs for students with cognitive impairments.
• Develops and coordinates curricula for special education programs that align with general curriculum and evaluates effectiveness.
• Maintains professional relationships with all other employees, parents and representatives from the intermediate school district.
