Facilities Manager | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) within the facility.
• Develop and manage the facilities operating budget, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
• Plan and execute facility improvement projects, layout modifications, and new equipment installations to support production needs.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for critical production assets and building systems.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for facility-related projects and services.
• Optimize utility consumption and manage waste disposal programs to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing facilities operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental compliance relevant to manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead maintenance teams, and oversee capital improvement projects.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and asset tracking.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or BIM software for facility layout and planning.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
