Job Description
Senior Helpers Northern Orange County is looking for an experienced caregiver with experience in Cypress, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Long Beach, and Seal Beach.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Saturday and Sunday 9am -7 pm, with a female client in Seal Beach
Saturday 9:30-5:30 Sunday 1-9 pm with a female client in Cerritos
Saturday 5:30-11:00 with a female client in Cerritos
Caregiver Qualifications:
- Experience with transferring clients between various locations (wheelchair, bed, etc.) utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Experience with using a Hoyer lift and gate belt assistance.
- Experience with assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks, including sponge baths, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.
- Experience with assisting clients with incontinence care and bedridden care.
- Willing to attend training regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Training in all the mentioned categories is preferred.
What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.
- Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
- Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (walks,gardening, games, etc.)
- Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
- Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
- Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
