Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing and administrative operations of the property in a manner that meets or exceeds company standards for occupancy, profitability, and physical condition.

This role ensures compliance with all company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws while delivering a professional and welcoming experience to prospective and current residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leasing & Sales Performance
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of available and upcoming apartment inventory.
• Greet and assist prospective residents in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Conduct tours of models, amenities, and vacant units.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the surrounding market and complete required market reports.
• Accurately complete weekly leasing and traffic reports.

Administrative Operations
• Process rental applications and prepare lease packages accurately and timely.
• Complete required paperwork and system entries for move-ins, move-outs, rent receipts, and daily deposits.
• Maintain organized and accurate resident files and leasing documentation.
• Communicate regularly with the Community Manager regarding leasing activity and property needs.

Property Presentation
• Maintain leasing office and model apartment areas to ensure a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Conduct routine inspections of leasing areas to uphold company standards.

Compliance & Professional Standards
• Adhere to company policies, Fair Housing requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct off-site business as needed, including daily bank deposits and meetings.
• If operating a personal vehicle for company business, maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and ability to meet insurability standards.
• Must meet underwriting standards for fidelity bond insurance.
• Ability to conduct property-related business off-site as required.
• Previous experience as a Leasing Consultant in a residential apartment community preferred; related experience will be considered.
• Must not be listed on the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Denied Participation List.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The compensation range for this position is $15.50 – $18.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on relevant experience, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.

In addition to base pay, eligible team members may participate in performance-based incentives where applicable.
