Plant Manager | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $143,000 - $194,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and optimize all daily plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
• Manage the plant budget, control costs, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing) across the plant.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and report on key operational metrics.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations leadership, including P&L responsibility.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and driving cost efficiency.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and team development.
• In-depth knowledge of production planning, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• MBA or Master's degree in a related technical or business field
• Proven experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
• Experience with multi-site operations or significant capital project management
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to the company's global footprint or workforce demographics
