Job Description

Salary: $64,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in technical writing or related fields
• Associates degree, Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience preferred
• Knowledge of technical communication standards and practices
• Advanced writing skills with excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Hands-on attitude towards learning high-speed doors
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and business communications
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent decision-making skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Preferred: experience with CAD or 3D modeling (SolidWorks 2023 preferred)
• Preferred: experience with SolidWorks Composer 2023
• Preferred: knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical principles

• Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation such as product manuals, service bulletins, and work instructions
• Create illustrations including exploded views and parts lists using engineering drawings and CAD models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of products and documentation needs
• Ensure documentation aligns with internal style guidelines and applicable standards
• Manage document development and long-term storage systems efficiently
• Uphold safety policies and practices consistently
• Engage with the team to enhance knowledge on high-speed doors and related procedures
