Job Description

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.

We are seeking a hands-on, highly autonomous Training Manager to design, build, and lead operational training programs across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and delivering technical, process-driven, and topic-based training that drives safety, efficiency, and performance across a growing, geographically distributed workforce.

This is a builder role. You will partner closely with Operations and Engineering to create scalable, practical training programs aligned with real-world operational needs.

This role is based in California or Texas and requires up to 50% travel to operational sites .

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage all operational training programs, including:
    • Technical Training
    • Individual topic-based and refresher training
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve training programs in partnership with Operations and Engineering teams
  • Deliver training through a mix of in-person, virtual, and online learning formats
  • Ensure training content is technically accurate, practical, and aligned with field operations
  • Establish standardized curricula, documentation, and best practices across locations
  • Assess training effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of operational personnel
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, providing ongoing guidance and performance feedback
  • Travel to operational sites to deliver training, observe processes, and build strong relationships with field teams
What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience building or significantly expanding an operational training program from the ground up
  • 3+ years of leadership experience leading teams, projects, or major initiatives
  • Experience training operational personnel in manufacturing, construction, or similar hands-on environments
  • Strong technical foundation:
    • Engineering degree preferred, or
    • Prior experience in technical or engineering-adjacent roles outside of training
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, effective training materials
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly autonomous role with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly and build credibility with operational teams
  • Strong collaboration skills across Operations, Engineering, and Leadership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or blended learning models is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as needed

Salary & Benefits

  • The pay for this position has a base salary of $120,000-$140,000. The actual pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
